How Much Does A Tattoo Cost?
Our hourly rate is (2,200,000 - 2,500,000 VND/hour, which is $85 - $95/hour) depending on the design complexity and technique difficulty.
We will tell you the estimated tattoo time for every tattoo before starting.
If the actual tattoo time is shorter than the estimation, you will be charged just by the actual time.
If the actual tattoo time is longer than the estimation, you will be charged just by the estimation. The actual time exceeded is FREE OF CHARGE.
The minimum charge is 1,000,000 VND.
If you get one or multiple small tattoos and the total tattoo time is less than 2 hours to complete, we charge by the piece. The price depends on the detail level, complexity of the design, time required, and the artist performing the work. Prices range from a minimum of 1,000,000 VND to a maximum of 5,000,000 VND.
Multiple Tattoos Over 2 Hours:
– If multiple tattoos take over 2 hours in total, pricing will follow the hourly rate (2,200k–2,500k/hour), FREE service, equipment, set-up, consultation, design charge.
– e.g. 2 minimalist tattoos (90 minutes each, 3 hours total)
Price: 2,200k * 3 = 6,600k
For tattoos over 2 hours:
– Tattoos that take more than 2 hours are charged by the hourly rate (2,200k–2,500k/hour), FREE service, equipment, set-up, consultation, design charge.
– e.g. 1 simple blackwork tattoos (4 hours)
Price: 2,200k * 4 = 8,800k
– e.g. 1 portrait realistic tattoos (4 hours)
Price: 2,500k * 4 = 10,000k
Standard Session (6 hours):
– A standard tattoo session lasts up to 6 hours.
– If the tattoo requires one standard session, the hourly rate is 2,200,000 - 2,500,000 VND/hour. FREE service, equipment, set-up, consultation, design charge.
– If the tattoo requires multiple standard sessions, the hourly rate is fixed at 2,200,000 VND/hour. FREE service, equipment, set-up, consultation, design charge.
– e.g. 1 realistic frame tattoo with complex design (6 hours)
Price: 2,500k * 6 = 15,000k
– e.g. 1 sleeve graphic tattoo with complex design (2 session, 6 hours each, total 12 hours)
Price: 2,200k * 12 = 26,400k
Can be paid 2 times, 13,200 each (cost for 1 session: 2,200 * 6 = 13,200k)
Long Sessions (Over 6 hours):
– For sessions that go beyond 6 hours, an additional 20% will be added to the hourly rate (2,200k/hour +20%) starting from the 7th hour. FREE service, equipment, set-up, consultation, design charge.
– If the tattoo requires multiple long sessions, each session will be charged like above, and you can pay per session.
– e.g. 1 big old japanese style tattoos with complex design (8 hours straight)
Price: 2,200k * 6 (normal hourly rate * 6 hours) + 2,200k * 1,2 * 2 (normal hourly rate plus 20% * 2 hours) = 13,200k + 5,280k = 18, 480k
– e.g. 2 big old japanese style tattoos with complex design on both arms (8 hours straight each)
Price: 2,200k * 6 (normal hourly rate * 6 hours) + 2,200k * 1,2 * 2 (normal hourly rate plus 20% * 2 hours) = 13,200k + 5,280k = 18, 480k each * 2 arms = 36,960 . You can pay 18,480 per session)
PRO TIP:
If you have a very big tattoo to go, divide it into many sections of no more than 6 hours. It’s the perfect amount of time for you and your artist to be best healthy, and also, there is no “overtime” charge applied.
Our price is for the best artists in town (awarded artists), premium quality and services. Hence, if you see any price that go higher than that rate, maybe it's a rip-off. Be careful, ask for some other studios to compare.
